The immersive media, music and entertainment district known as Outernet is set to open in central London in winter 2021. A 2,000 capacity venue, the return of the 12 Bar Club and a further intimate live space will open at the Denmark Street site.

Radio 1 Breakfast presenter Greg James grew up with Bob’s famous whispering voice coming out of the radios at home, as his father Alan has been a fan from Bob’s first broadcast on Radio 1 on August 19th 1970 and his television career on The Old Grey Whistle Test, right through to Bob’s current work on Radio 2. They are firm friends through a love of cricket and music and have often attended gigs together with their families.

“Whispering” Bob Harris has partnered with Absolute Label Services for a new record label as part of his Under The Apple Tree brand.
The deal coincides with the celebrations for Bob Harris’ 50 years on the BBC, including a repeat of the special tribute to The Old Grey Whistle Test. Harris currently has a country music show on Radio 2.
